Discovering & Nurturing the Leader Within Us

Program Description

What are the traits & characteristics that distinguish high-performing CEO’s in today’s world?  What do each of us have in common with those high-performing CEO’s?  These will be the leading questions in our June program.  We will start with an infusion of findings from a recent psychometric study featuring results from three well-validated psychometric instruments (the 16pf, the OPQ-32, and the Hogan Development Survey) to compare over 900 CEOs from around the world to a broader database of senior executives.

We will learn about 3 key traits that tend to distinguish CEO’s – Initiative, Inference & Influence.   Our facilitator will engage us in remembering leaders whom we have seen demonstrate these traits, and those that have not.   We will then be challenged to reflect on our own minds and hearts, to identify our own levels of these 3 essential leadership traits, and what we might do to nurture and build those capabilities

About the Chicago OD Practioners Network

The Internal Consulting PDN of the OD Network Chicago area is a professional development network that meets monthly in downtown Chicago to explore topics centering on internal consulting issues inside organizations across the spectrum of Organizational Development, Human Resources, and Training & Development. Learning from one another's experiences and exploring new perspectives and resources are key areas of focus for the groups. The PDN invites attendance and perspectives from both internal and external (independent) consultants. This is a forum free of direct marketing appeals or overt networking from those in job transition. Come be a part of the conversation!
