ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

David Vance is Executive Director of the nonprofit Center for Talent Reporting (home of TDRp) and co-author of the Talent Development Reporting Principles (TDRp). He is the former President of Caterpillar University, which he founded in 2001, and author of The Business of Learning: How to Manage Corporate Training to Improve Your Bottom Line. Dave was named 2006 Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of the Year by Chief Learning Officer magazine. Caterpillar was ranked #1 in the 2005 ATD BEST awards and named Corporate University of the Year in 2004. Prior to leading Cat U, he was Chief Economist and Head of the Business Intelligence Group at Caterpillar. Dave teaches in the human capital development Ph.D. programs at Bellevue University and the University of Southern Mississippi. He has a Master of Science Degree in business administration from Indiana University (South Bend) and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Jeff Carpenter is CEO of Caveo Learning which was the first organization to achieve TDRp Certification for Consulting. He is a recognized leader in the learning and development space and has more than 20 years’ experience in instructional strategy, performance improvement and organizational development. Jeff has developed learning strategies and helped clients achieve performance objectives across a broad range of industries within the Fortune 1000. Prior to Caveo, Jeff was the VP of Client Services at Sivox Technologies where he co-designed the company’s flagship product. This product is a patented simulation-based learning solution that immerses users in a fully virtual environment and achieved unprecedented results for a computer-based training application (the post-training results were equivalent to 1-on-1 live coaching). Prior to Sivox, Jeff held several positions in learning and development, including several years with the performance improvement organization at AT&T. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jeff has taught Masters-level courses at Roosevelt University on adult learning theory and instructional systems design. He is also a distinguished speaker at international conferences in the learning industry. Jeff has earned a Master of Arts in Training and Development from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from the University of Nebraska.

Loyola University validates parking tickets from any of the parking garages listed above for $11. To validate your parking ticket, please go to the front desk located at the lobby of the Phillip Corboy Law Center. 

Cancellation Policy: All event registration fee refund requests must be submitted in writing to admin@atdchi.org prior to any event. Requests must be submitted at least three (3) business days prior to the event to receive a full refund. No refund will be provided for cancellations received within three (3) business days or for event attendee no-shows.
